Origin and Divine Transmission
The tradition traces its origin from Shri Hans Bhagwan to the Sanakadi Rishis, then to Devarishi Narada and Jagadguru Shri Nimbarkacharya. This sacred succession became the foundation of the Sampradaya and continues through an uninterrupted Guru Parampara.
The 16-Word Maha Mantra
कृष्ण कृष्ण राधे राधे
राधे श्याम राधे श्याम
श्याम श्याम राधे राधे
Devotees chant the Maha Mantra with love and surrender as a means of remembering the Divine Couple and cultivating pure devotion.
Jagadguru Shri Nimbarkacharya
Jagadguru Shri Nimbarkacharya is revered as the founder and principal Acharya of the Sampradaya. Tradition regards him as an incarnation of the Sudarshan Chakra. Born as Niyamananda, he mastered the sacred scriptures and received Mantra Diksha from Devarishi Narada near Govardhan in Braj.
The Neem Tree Miracle
According to the traditional account, Niyamananda placed the divine Sudarshan Chakra upon a neem tree so that it shone like the sun, allowing him to honor a visiting ascetic after sunset. From this event came the name “Nimbarka”: Nim meaning neem tree and Arka meaning sun.
